The PPC Group participates in the European Research project Raido

The group PPC It participates in the European Research project Raido (101135800), which aims, inter alia, to develop and implement artificial intelligence technologies (AI) to enhance energy efficiency and viability in its field energy.

The research project funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe Program is expected to help improve energy infrastructure management, and in particular with regard to intermittent renewable energy sources. In addition to PPC, more than 20 bodies are involved in Raido, from 10 European countries co -ordinated by the Slovenian Jožef Stefan Institute.

As artificial intelligence evolves and the increasing need to optimize energy consumption is intensified, smart, reliable and efficient energy management solutions become necessary. Raido research project It responds to this challenge by developing and applying technologies AI with the aim of more effectively utilizing green energy, supporting the functional flexibility of energy systems and reducing CO₂ emissions.

The development of artificial intelligence systems within the project is based on advanced methodologies such as the use of digital twins and diffusion models to create reliable and impartial training data.

In addition, Green AI ‘Green AI) tools are utilized with mechanical learning techniques such as the Few-Shot and Zero-Shot Learning that reduce the need for large volumes of data while enhancing the energy efficiency of artificial intelligence models.

As part of the project, PPC will implement pilot implementation of artificial intelligence technologies in an appropriately controlled energy infrastructure environment, utilizing its know -how and existing platforms. PPC’s participation in Raido is aligned with its strategy to enhance energy efficiency and promote innovative digital solutions that support sustainable development and green transition.

The aim is to test artificial intelligence tools in real conditions and evaluate their effectiveness, helping to adapt to the special needs of the energy sector.

The project is in the second year of implementation and the first pilot application scenarios have already been launched. PPC participates as a key partner of a pilot application to test artificial intelligence technologies in the operation and management of its energy infrastructure.

Invested firmly in green energy, smart infrastructure and technology, the PPC Group participates in the formation of the new energy era. In this context, PPC’s transformation into a Powertech company is a natural development of this course.

The active participation of the PPC Group in research projects such as Raido is part of the Group’s wider strategy in the field of artificial intelligence and confirms its commitment to innovation, as well as the active contribution to a sustainable, digital and efficient energy future for Greece and the wider region.
