In the contracted hospitals, the program works in a way that combines clear participation and direct management of the balance. The first €750 or €1,500 —depending on the program we have chosen—are our own participation, while after covering this amount n Eurolife FFH assumes the remainder of the hospitalization costs according to the terms of the plan. This means that, having chosen in advance the hospital and the doctor we trust, we do not have to manage the huge amount of expenses at the end of our hospitalization.
On the other hand, when the hospitalization takes place in a non-contracted hospital, the approach is different but equally clear. After our participation is first deducted (€750 or €1,500), we receive a one-time predetermined amount of financial benefit which is determined in advance based on the incident. The fact that this amount is known in advance helps to better plan our expenses and obligations, since we know in advance what to expect. This one-off benefit is paid after leaving the hospital and after we present the required supporting documents.
At the same time, in the country’s public hospitals, reimbursement of 100% of expenses is provided under the terms of the program — when there is a requirement to pay expenses. This compensation is paid on account, after presenting the original documents to Eurolife FFH. If the total costs are covered by another insurance company, then, after deducting our participation, we receive 25% of the one-off predetermined amount of financial benefit up to €1,000. In case of an afternoon surgery, the company pays this much 25% of the lump sum up to €1,000 as well as 100% of the expenses.
In addition to hospitalization coverage, the My Health F1rst emphasizes both post-hospital care and prevention. This is because the insured have a maternity benefit at their disposal, whether it is a natural birth or a caesarean section, thus offering essential support in one of the most important periods of their lives.
At the same time, the program covers rehabilitation and recovery costs in specialized centers, ensuring continuity of care even after discharge. In cases of emergency, emergency medical assistance is available both in Greece and abroad, offering us reassurance wherever we are. In addition, the free annual preventive health check-up aims to strengthen the culture of prevention in as large a part of society as possible and helps maintain a better quality of life, while the company’s maximum limit of liability, which reaches €700,000 per insurance period, hospitalization incident and insured is a guarantee of reliability and substantial support.
