Began to pay compensation of 100 euros to their workers who successfully participated and completed the business awareness program on diversity & combat discrimination in the workplace, which implemented the Ministry of Social Cohesion & Family.

The program of the Ministry of Social Cohesion & Family was implemented by funding from the Recovery and Resilience Fund and aimed at cultivating a culture of equal treatment in private sector workplaces through the education of 80,000 employees.

Compensation is paid to the declared bank accounts of the participants who:

  • completed asynchronous 3 -hour asynchronous training
  • and succeeded in the rating test with a score of at least 70%

The Minister of Social Cohesion & Family Domna Michaelidou said:

“Our starting point was a critical finding: in the labor market, inequalities remain. With the business awareness program on diversity & combat discrimination in the workplace, we have focused on the problem, daily behaviors and prejudices that are often reproduced without realizing it. The program was designed in a simple, flexible and directly accessible way. And the impressive participation has shown that society is ready to take steps forward. Today, with the start of payment of compensation to the participants, a significant phase is completed. But the essential profit is awareness, empathy and change philosophy in the work environment. Inclusion is not theory. It is an act. And our ministry will continue to invest in policies that make it a self -evident daily life. “

For its part, the Deputy Minister of Social Cohesion and Family Elena Rapti said: “In investing in diversity education, we invest in equal and supportive workplaces. The great response of the workers sent a strong message: the change starts with us. We would like to thank the thousands of participants in the program. Payment of compensation is a practical recognition of their contribution to a fairer and inclusive work environment. ”
