This spacious, handmade black leather bag was the first of a series of bags that became famous and is one of the most expensive in the world, as their price can reach even hundreds of thousands of euros.
To date, the most expensive bag sold at auction was a Kelly Hermès crocodile leather, decorated with diamonds and platinum, reaching 438,000 euros.
Jane Birkin, a fashion idol at that time, was a practical man. During a flight from Paris to London, she protested to her neighbor because she did not find a bag that covers her mother’s mother’s needs.
