Greece provides European resources, over € 8 billion for three new financial tools

According to government sources, Greece provides European resources, over 8 billion euros for three new financial tools: the Social Climate Fund, the Modernization Fund and the Islands Fund Fund.

This mobilizes multiple investments in projects associated with the environment, growth, daily life and strengthening social cohesion, while creating a new, integrated support mechanism for a socially just green transition, with a direct impact on 1.5 million households, small businesses and small businesses. In addition, the same sources point out that the activation of the three funds enables the continuation and strengthening of the interventions that have begun with the recovery fund, enhancing competitiveness, infrastructure and access to more viable solutions in their daily lives.

Subsequently, the Minister of Digital Government, Mr. Dimitrios Papastergiou, presented to the Cabinet the National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence, as well as the creation of a new Special Secretariat for Artificial Intelligence and Data Government at the Ministry, which is renamed by the Ministry and the Prime Minister.

As emphasized, the national strategy for artificial intelligence is an immediate need for the country to respond adequately to the international environment, reduce the dangers and take advantage of the opportunities associated with artificial intelligence (TN), gradually developing a specialized, flexible and effective structure. The Special Secretariat is part of the government’s broader strategy with the aim of balance between innovation and regulation, the responsible utilization of new technologies by public administration and the development of a national ecosystem TN with extroversion, viability and digital sovereignty. In addition, it is worth noting that the Ministry of Digital Governance is incorporating the technologies of TN into the public sector, through a 25m-euro framework agreement to provide relevant services and solutions. At the same time, with the aim of integrating technologies TN into public administration, it is developing a national framework for the TN governance and will implement pilot projects with public bodies, such as the Ministries of Interior and Education, Religions and Sports. Also, through an AI incubator, in-house government applications will be erected, enhancing the country’s digital autonomy.

According to government planning, the Special Secretariat for Artificial Intelligence and Government of Data, inter alia: It will support the government committee for the public sector projects, as well as the planning and implementation of the national strategy for TN and the data, coordinates the stakeholders, Gov.gr and will develop projects TN and will contribute know -how to bodies that wish to develop TN projects where required.

Subsequently, the Minister of Labor and Social Security, Mr. Niki Kerameos and the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Security, Mr. Konstantinos Karagounis, suggested to the Council of Ministers the bill of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security: “Fair Work for All – Simplification of Law”.

According to the draft draft law, it is foreseen to convert the Civil Aviation Authority (US) by an independent public service into a Legal Entity of Public Law (NPD), with the aim of: Harmonization with the country’s European obligations and regulatory pending compliance with the enhancement of the Operational and Operational Management, air transport and air traffic. As noted in this way, we will achieve institutional reform by focusing on the simple and efficient structure, the financial autonomy and flexibility of administration, the enhancement of human resources, the technological upgrading of critical functions as well as the implementation of an agreed action plan with the European Commission. As it was pointed out, to achieve this, a 346 -point action plan has been agreed and prepared, with distinct pillars, in particular milestones and six -month monitoring starting in June 2025 and completed in December 2028.

Government sources note that with the completion of the Transformation of the CAA we will have compliance with the new European regulatory framework, avoidance of fines and sanctions, improving safety and air traffic performance, enhancement of the country’s passenger and tourist profiles, upgrading of the public and public service, Passenger, but also of the quality of the services provided.

Finally, the Deputy Minister, under the Prime Minister, Mr Pavlos Marinakis, suggested to the Council of Ministers the bill to strengthen public broadcasting.
