THE heat continues to scan the Italy As 18 cities in the country are currently located (02/07/2025) on a “red alert”, while at least 20 cities are expected to enter Friday.
Since the beginning of the week, 4 people have lost their lives from the heatwave that plagues Italy and Central Europe.
The last victim of the heat is a 70 -year -old man who was found dead this morning in his truck near the city of Brescia. During the night, due to the high heat, he suffered a heart attack.
In the meantime, high temperatures have also contributed to the outbreak of a series of fires in Molisee, central Italy. Thanks to the immediate mobilization of the Fire Brigade, they were able to get under control in record time.
In the regions, with the capitals of Turin, Venice and Milan, measures were adopted that prohibit the work under the sun from 12.30pm to 4.30pm during the highest stare days, due to heat.
Today the Italian government meets the country’s unions to agree to support measures for workers and businesses that have restricted or even stopped working and producing.
Finally, there are incidents of fainting of fainting singers and cobras involved in works rehearsals in the Verona arena.
