Former President of the Republic, Prokopis Pavlopoulos, in a statement bid farewell to Nikos Papadakis, the Director General of the “National Foundation for Research and Studies Eleftherios Mr. Venizelos”. Nikos Papadakis passed away today.
Mr. Pavlopoulos described the deceased as a “noble child of Crete” and “real Euphrates”, who dedicated his life to the defense and preservation of the work of Eleftherios Venizelos. In his statement, he deeply regretted the loss and reported their personal friendship, as well as their exemplary cooperation, especially during Mr Pavlopoulos’ term as President of the Republic.
In closing, Mr. Pavlopoulos wished Nikos Papadakis’ successors to follow his example. The statement was concluded with the wish “Eternal His memory”.
