The renovated “Seferi” building of the General consulate Greece in Koritsa was inaugurated today by Foreign Minister George Gerapetritisalong with her foreign minister Albanian Igli Hasani.
This is, as Mr Gerapetritis said in his greeting, for the building where he lived and worked as a consul in 1936-37 George Seferisdiplomat, poet and later owner of Nobel Literature in 1963. It was then owned by a Greek family and was expected to be purchased as destroyed by the Greek state in 1998.
As he pointed out, the restoration of the building was initially donated by Greeks from Koritsa and all of Albania, as well as from Greece, as well as institutions and companies from both countries.. It was completed at the expense of the Greek state.
