OR European Union Asks the US President Donald Trumpextension of discussions until July 9th so that the two sides reach a good trade agreement.
Commission President Ursula von der Layen announced Sunday night (25/05/2025) that she contacted US President Donald Trump to discuss trade between the European Union and the US.
In the shadow of Donald Trump’s threats to impose a 50% duty on European products, von der Laien said the EU would take time until July 9 to “reach a good deal”.
