The digital tool for evaluating the NHS – Mitsotakis services was presented: “To help us patients better”

How will it work

“From today the voice of the citizen is becoming stronger in terms of health issues,” The Prime Minister typically stated Kyriakos Mitsotakis who participated earlier in a meeting at the Maximos Palace, presented by the leadership of the Ministry of Health the new digital tool for evaluating the patient’s experience in his hospitals YOUwhich is being made today at the disposal of the citizens.

During the meeting, the prime minister stressed: “It’s 11:00 o’clock, will be sent in a few minutes from now the first SMS evaluation of our hospitals’ services to those who were discharged a few days ago.

When we had discussed with the Minister a few months ago how we would evaluate the services of the National Health System, we agreed together that, first and foremost, we should ask the users of the system themselves in detail.

And this is exactly what we do with this very well organized questionnaire, which, completely anonymous and safeguarding all personal data valves, will now be sent to all those who are discharged from the National Health System Hospitals, with the exception of psychiatric, pediatric and pediatrics. These will follow below.

Our goal, as stated in the message, is to help us the patients themselves better. Because, obviously, we cannot have a complete picture of the condition in a hospital. We get the picture from the official data, but also from those that the hospital administration often brings us. It is very important to listen to the patients themselves: what we do well, what we do not do well and how we can improve.

And I am sure that when we add enough such data, the actual image of the National Health System will be better than the one is often presented in the media, because in the end, first and foremost, we have to take the view of those who use the national health system and there are many. How many use the national health system, my Minister? “

Adonis Georgiadis: We have 25 million incidents a year, 85,000 incidents a day.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis: To have a picture of the size. And of course, it is very important for us to constantly become better.

This project is funded by the Recovery Fund and will be a stable reference point for the utilization of data, so that we can identify problems and focus our own initiatives based on the priorities that citizens themselves, users of the National Health System.

So, many congratulations on launching this program. I really want to ask those who receive this message not to ignore it. It’s a few minutes of your time. You will really help us get better. In a constant culture of evaluation and accountability, the opinion of the citizen has the most important for us. So, thumbs up, Minister, and in higher. “

Through the new application, the citizen, immediately after completing his hospitalization, has the opportunity through axiologisi.esy.gov.gr, in a few minutes, in a few minutes, with full anonymity and safeguarding the personal data, to evaluate the services provided to the NHS hospitals, thereby contributing to them.

The questionnaire is addressed to the over 18 years of age who have been hospitalized at least one day in a public hospital, provided that they have activated intangible prescription, and is structured on the following axes: patient accessibility to health services (manner and time) and feeding, support and participation in decision -making as well as support and information while leaving the hospital.

The answers will be collected and stored in a historical database to result in a specific rating per assessment axis, by hospital and by clinic, and to evaluate their course in time, and will also be concentrated on a yearly basis, which will be pointed out, which will be highlighted. An annual report report will be issued with coding conclusions by unit of health and recommendations for improvement.

Objectives of the new digital tool, funded by the Recovery and Resilience Fund, are the timely detection of problems and resolving them, identifying and highlighting good practices, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of public hospitals, the decline in public hospitals.

For his part, Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis noted: “Mr President, I would like to thank the whole team of the Ministry of Health, Mr. Themistokleous, Mrs Vildiridis and all the leadership for the work they did to get here today. And Irene Agapidakis and I believe very much in this tool. I think it will bring the big change as we will receive information from the patients themselves for the first time.

For many years, Mr President, we have said that we need to do the hectic system. This is a great and meaningful step to bring the patient to the center.

And I want, in closing, to thank the Greek Union of Patients who helped us to retire the questionnaire and to invite our fellow citizens to answer, clarifying that their personal data is absolutely safe and so they have nothing to fear from answering the questions. “

The meeting was also attended by the Minister of State Akis Skertsos, Deputy Minister of Health Irene Agapidakis, Deputy Minister of Health Marios Themistokleous, Secretary General of Prime Minister Stelios Koutnatzis and Secretary General of Health.
