Greece’s trade balance deficit increased by 11.5% in October 2024, while the percentage decrease in exports is multiple times that of imports, according to ELSTAT.
In more detail, as ELSTAT data show, the total value of trade imports in October this year amounted to 7,163.7 million. euros against 7,273.1 million euros in the same month of 2023, showing a decrease of 1.5% (without petroleum products there was an increase of 648 million euros or 12.4%, while without petroleum products there was an increase of 640 million euros or 12.3%).
The total value of exports amounted to 4,000.6 million. euros against 4,436.1 million euros in October 2023, showing a decrease of 9.8% (excluding oil products there was an increase of 154.2 million euros or 5.1%, while without oil products and ships there was an increase of 149.4 million euros or 5%) .
The trade balance deficit amounted to 3,163.1 million. euros against 2,837.0 million euros in October 2023, showing an increase of 11.5% (without oil products there was an increase of 493.8 million euros or 22.1%, while without oil products and ships there was an increase of 490.6 million euros or 22% ).
In the 10th month, the total value of imports amounted to 70,187.2 million. euros against 68,964.6 million euros in the same period of 2023, showing an increase of 1.8% (without oil products there was an increase of 1,967.4 million euros or 3.9%, while without oil products and ships there was an increase of 1,922.8 million euros or 3 .8%).
The total value of exports amounted to 41,871.1 million. euros against 42,974.0 million euros in the 10th month of 2023, showing a decrease of 2.6% (without oil products there was an increase of 274 million euros or 0.9%, while without oil products and ships there was an increase of 281.2 million euros or 1%).
The trade balance deficit amounted to 28,316.1 million. euros against 25,990.6 million euros in the 10th month of 2023, showing an increase of 8.9% (without oil products there was an increase of 1,693.4 million euros or 8%, while without oil products and ships there was an increase of 1,641.6 million euros or 7.7% ).
