Answering 104% of Donald Trump’s against China decided by Beijing, announcing 84% of US products to US products, according to Bloomberg.
According to the Chinese News Agency, Xinhua, China promised on Wednesday (09.04.2025) to receive countermeasures with “steady will” and “abundant means” after increasing US duties, while urging a dialogue to resolve their respective concerns and stabilizing the stabilization of bilateral relationships.
“I would like to emphasize that there is no winner in a trade war and China does not want a trade war, but the Chinese government will in no way sit with crossed hands when the legitimate rights and interests of its people are affected and deprived,” a ministry official said.
The official made these observations by answering media questions about a White Paper released Wednesday by the State Council Intelligence Office on China’s position on certain issues related to China-US Economic and Commercial Relations.
