According to the first information, an unknown person phoned the Hellenic Train shortly before 9pm on Friday night (11/04/2025) and said that the bomb on the offices on Syngrou Avenue would burst for a period of 35 to 40 minutes, saying it was “not a farce”.
A suspected backpack was located in a pillar near the building, which exploded just as the man had indicated.
According to police, there are no injuries and it is not known what damage the explosion has caused as the area has been ruled out until the explosive section of the explosive mechanisms and the Criminal Investigations Division is completed.
