Mild uptrends prevailed in today’s meeting Stock Exchange Athens, in the midst of an upward movement of the Europeans shopping, with the turnover fluctuating at moderate levels.
The focus of the investment interest was the share of OPAP, after the commitment of the management to distribute a dividend of at least 1 euro per year.
Alpha Bank’s share closed with significant gains after today’s successful bond issue of 500 million euros. The General Price Index closed slightly lower than the levels of 910 points, at 909.16 points, marking an increase of 0.56%. Intra-conference, it recorded a higher price at 909.45 points (+ 0.59%).
The value of the transactions amounted to 52.90 million euros, while 21,206,181 shares were traded. The index of high capitalization increased by 0.79%, while the index of medium capitalization increased by 0.15%. Of the high-capitalization shares, the largest increase was recorded by the shares of OPAP (+ 2.85%), Ethniki (+ 2.78%), Alpha Bank (+ 2.08%), Viohalco (+1, 46%), Motor Oil (+ 1.36%) and Coca Cola HBC (+ 1.14%).
On the contrary, the biggest drop was recorded by the shares of EYDAP (-1.16%), OTE (-1.07%), Piraeus (-0.64%) and Saranti (-0.56%). Of the sub-indices, the largest increase was recorded by the Travel (+ 2.69%) and Banking (+ 1.32%) indices, while the largest losses were recorded by the Telecommunications (-1.05%) and Trade indices. (-0.53%).
The largest trading volume was presented by Eurobank and Attica Bank with 3,656,983 and 3,083,617 shares, respectively. The highest value of transactions was recorded by OPAP with 10.620 million euros and OTE with 4.085 million euros. 76 stocks moved higher, 49 declined and 13 remained unchanged.
The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Proodeftiki + 7.83% and Akritas + 7.50%. The biggest drop was recorded by the shares: Varvaresos -18.88% and Attica Bank -18.20%.
