Over the past four months, the US has deployed a powerful naval force in the Caribbean to crack down on drug cartels, and now it’s being reinforced with aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford, sending “message” to Venezuela.
In fact, Venezuela wanted to respond “to US imperialism” and the country’s army announced today (11.11.2025) the massive deployment of its forces throughout the country.
The US aircraft carrier will support US military operations against drug traffickers. So far around 20 airstrikes have been carried out killing at least 76 people.
The aircraft carrier Gerald R. Ford, the largest and most advanced aircraft carrier in the US armed forces, today entered the area of command of the joint command responsible for the South and Central America region, the US Department of Defense announced today.

The deployment of this aircraft carrier strike group is aimed at “supporting the president’s mandate to dismantle transnational criminal organizations and combat narco-terrorism in defense of the homeland,” Southcom added.
The USS Gerald R. Ford carries four squadrons of F/A-18E Super Hornet fighter jets and is accompanied, among other means, by three guided missile destroyersaccording to the announcement.
Caracas sees this operation as a pretext, as the real goal is to overthrow Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and seize the country’s oil reserves.
Maduro, who has ask several times to start a dialoguestates at the same time ready to defend itself and constantly organizes military exercises.
These frequent government announcements, which are highly publicized by the media, do not necessarily mean that high schools are being held.
Today’s announcement by the Minister of Defense and head of the army Vladimir Padrino López speaks of “massive deployment of land, air, sea, rivers and missiles, weapons systems, military units and the Bolivarian militia”.

Earlier today, Russia’s Foreign Minister. Sergey Lavrov, characterized “unacceptable” the American strikes vs ships in Caribbean.
