Tempi: lukewarm MPs’ interest in the case file

Disappointingly low is the attendance of Members to examine the case file on the tragedy of Tempiwhich is at their disposal in a special hall of the House. Once eleven Members have expressed interest since the day that has been accessed, a number that is considered extremely small given the gravity of the case and the intense political reactions it has caused.

According to a Member’s testimonies who have already begun reading the documents, it takes time and dedication to the effective understanding of the material. An indication of indifference is the fact that three parties – victory, freedom sailing and Spartans – have not sent any representative.

The room where the material is kept remains open and will continue to be, even during the weekend, with a 24 -hour police guard. It is worth noting that former SYRIZA Minister Christos Spirtzis received a copy of the case file at his request, a procedure that, according to House sources, lasted seven hours to transfer a terabyte data to an external album.
