Over 115,000 tax returns have been submitted by taxpayerwho are required to pay 1,008 euros as an additional tax – on average – for the debit clearances they received, according to an ERTNEWS report.
Of the total tax returns, 26,389, ie 22.75%, is debit with the amount of tax amounting to EUR 26.6 million and the average tax amounted to EUR 1,008, while slightly higher, and in particular 25.72% of the declarations (29,834 natural persons) received credit receipts with a taxpayer. millions of euros or EUR 353 on average per taxpayer.
52.47% of taxpayers do not pay extra tax on the Greek State. Specifically, in a total of 115,996 statements, 59,773 are zero.
Taxes who received a debit point from the Tax Office should be aware that the deduction for a single payment of the entry tax is in relation to the filing of the declaration and provided that the tax will be paid by July 31. Specifically:
- The discount amounts to 4% for statements submitted until April 30.
- 3% for statements from May 1 to June 15, and:
- 2% discount for statements from June 16th to July 15th.
Alternatively, the tax is paid in 8 equal monthly installments with the first installment at the end of July and the last in February 2026.
Taxes that cannot respond to this timetable have the ability to pay the tax to 12 interest -free credit card or up to 24 monthly intense installments with fixed arrangement.
According to ERTNEWS, having credit clearances should be aware that if they have other tax debts (for example ENFIA), it will be settled by the tax return with the debt and if there is a balance that will be credited to their bank accounts.
Income tax refunds to taxes that do not have tax or tax debts or information free of charge, will be sent to the Bank of Greece for immediate refund on a weekly basis while tax refunds to tax debts that are offset centrally from 25 to 25 years each month.
Beneficiaries immediate tax refund (up -to -date debt) come to 13,584 (54.32 %), with the total amount of EUR 3.4 million.
It is worth noting that the budget of 2025 provides that natural persons will pay an additional € 881 million in terms of 2024 in income tax from € 15,244 billion from € 14,363 billion last year while income tax revenue is estimated at € 7,97 EUR 120 million.
