Mr Hatzivasiliou, representing the government, praised the perseverance and dedication of the organizers of the largest revival festival in Greece. He pointed out that “it is moving to see young children looking forward to the revival, which is a separate history lesson.”

The event, which has been established as a reference point for the historical memory of World War II in Greece, was attended by revivalists from Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria and Romania. For the first time, it also included a specially designed educational event for students, enhancing the pedagogical and experiential nature of the action.
