To turn “Made in Greece” into the shipbuilding industry and shipbuilding into an absolute success story, the Minister of Development stressed Takis Theodorikakosat the anniversary event “700 ships – a vision” of ONEX at Elefsina Shipyards.
According to the announcement, along with Mr. Theodorikakos, the Panos Xenokostas’ Onex Group was also the Minister of Maritime and Island Policy, Vassilis Kikilias, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Minister, Prime Minister, Giorgos Milos, Giorgos Milos Tsavdaridis, the Vice President of the House, Athanasios Bouras as well as Members.

The event honored the completion of the 700th ship’s shipbuilding at ENEX, Neptune Odyssey by Neptune Lines Shipping & Managing Enterprises of Melina Travlou, an achievement that in practice confirms the regeneration of the industry.

The presence of the President of the Hellenic Shipowners’ Union at the Anniversary event marks – as the Minister of Development said – the link between the Onex’s investment venture with the confidence of Greek shipping, while wishing Neptune Odyssey to be the principle of “for thousands of ships”.
He pointed out that “Greece, with one of the most powerful commercial fleets in the world, must also have a shipping industry worthy of its shipping tradition. We cannot be a naval superpower and introduce know -how we can produce here. “
Concerning the government’s vision of industrial reconstruction, he stressed: “The shipbuilding industry, the blue economy of our country, is back to the forefront.
