Fierce attack launched the SYRIZA Against the Minister of Immigration Thanou Plevriswith heavy ratings and spikes for Attitude of the Government to migration.
The opposition party described the minister as a “far -right” and spoke of a “offensive turn of Athens”, citing international reports that present the situation at the detention centers in dark colors.
‘Aegean Alcatraz’
SYRIZA’s announcement is made special reference to its reportage Washington Postwhere the almond detention center is described as ‘Alcatraz of the Aegean’. According to the party, images transmitted abroad for detention conditions are shameful and expose Greece internationally.
At the same time, it is complained that the government is preparing even tougher legislation on immigration, despite the reactions that have already occurred.
‘Trampisks’ and far -right turn
SYRIZA directly connects Mitsotakis’ policy by trying to “shield” the New Democracy to the right, adopting – as he says – the far -right agenda.
“But the damage to the country will be huge and offensive to its citizens, who do not want to be identified with aspiring trampisks like Thanos Plevris and other Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ chosen ones,” the statement concludes.
