Joined from an early age in national resistance. During the “stone years” he was arrested, sentenced to death and, after converting his sentence, passed through prisons and exile.
After exile, as an executive of the KKE, he was active in various areas. He was a secretary at the Athens ECHR student, worked in the newspaper “Avgi”, at the ECHR Executive Committee and was in charge of the “Contemporary Issues” magazine. The dictatorship found him in Paris, where he continued his studies and developed rich resistance action.
Returning to Greece, he continued his political action and writing work9 Eftichis Bitsakis was a peer professor of philosophy at the University of Ioannina.
SYRIZA-PS described him as active to the end, prolific and unstoppable. As a member of Communist Liberation, he remained consistent in what he was in, maintaining the opportunity to understand the needs of the times.
