The AKTOR Group has entered a new development phase, implementing 2 billion euros in investments that will support transformation into a group of multiplex activities in new fields, such as renewable energy sources, real estate, PPP projects and concession projects, Sustainable Development.
The Sustainability Report 2024
This strategy is confirmed by the AKTOR Group’s viability report for the financial year 2024, which is the first in the history of the Group that is fully harmonized with European CSRD guidelines and ESRS standards and, in fact, incorporates AKTOR ATE, which has acquired 2023.
The report highlights the adoption of an ESG holistic framework, with specific indicators, transparent processes and long -term actions for all, reflecting the results of the Group’s operation on all pillars of its activity.
Emphasis on the environment
In the environmental sector, the Group applies certified management systems, adopts resource saving technologies and integrates the circular economy throughout its range of functions.
Also important is the AKTOR Group’s imprint on RES energy production, which contribute to the green transition and energy autonomy of the country, as it launches very large investments in this sector.
In addition, actions, such as waste recycling and processing, the utilization of processed water on site, responsible water resource management, as well as the incessant effort to reduce its environmental footprint demonstrate the systematic and prudent approach to an environmentally friendly function.
Empowerment of employees
At the same time, the Group is consistently investing in the strengthening of its employees, offering training and personal development programs, and supports the inclusion, with a remarkable presence of women in positions of responsibility. In addition, it practically supports the local communities in which it operates, as well as the younger generation through initiatives and programs that promote education and enhance the social footprint, such as Aktor4TheFuture, the largest scholarship program in Greece.

At the level of corporate governance, the Group reinforces the mechanisms of compliance and responsibility: the revision of sustainable development policy, the introduction of viability rhetoric into partnerships, the strengthening of the participation of independent members in the Board of Directors and the increase in representation of women.
