He notes that “Greece is consistently in favor of dialogue with Turkey, with the aim of resolving the unique Greek -Turkish dispute, in accordance with international law, that of continental shelf demarcation and exclusive economic zone between the two countries.”
“Exercising the rights arising from Greek sovereignty is not the subject of negotiation,” he concludes.
It is recalled that, earlier, the Turkish side issued a statement, arguing that “unilateral actions should be avoided in closed or semi -closed seas such as the Aegean and the Mediterranean”.
He commented that “they will not have legal consequences on the context of interconnected Aegean issues between the two countries, including geographical formations whose property has not been transferred to Greece by international agreements.”
