Stefanos Kasselakis, in his post, accused the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, of creating a “regime” that undermines their institutions and independence.
In his post, he spoke of a “alleged institutional status” set up by Kyriakos Mitsotakis, while describing the opposition parties as “phobic” and “good children of the system”, which with their attitude helped the New Democracy reach 41%.
The president of the Republic Movement also referred to the Events that took place yesterday in Parliamentpointing out that the New Democracy’s benches were permitted by the Prime Minister, which, he said, suggests how Kyriakos Mitsotakis perceives the operation of Parliament. “The House does not represent the people, but its interests,” he said characteristically, arguing that the government wants politics to be depreciated in the eyes of society in order to prevail.
In addition, Stefanos Kasselakis accused the prime minister of “despising the institution of the European Public Prosecutor’s Office” and reiterated that the “Mitsotakis regime” intervenes in executive, legislative and judicial power. He also referred to the crime of Tempi and the OPEKEPE scandal, saying that the government intervened in justice and made a “rag in the Constitution”.
Finally, he called on the opposition parties to clash directly with the prime minister and the financial system that supports him, otherwise, he said, “complicit in his government’s crimes”. He emphasized that the proposal that all parties should have adopted was his own, for direct reference to OPEKEPE’s case to regular justice and the European Public Prosecutor’s Office.
