In frontal counterattack the communication director of PASOK-Movement for Change continued, Stefania Mourelatouresponding with a video-intervention to the accusations received by Nikos Androulakis from government officials, such as Thanos Plevris and George Floridis.
Mrs. Mourelatou directly accused the ministers of “distortion” of the so-called president of PASOK, regarding the tragedy in Vorizia, and turned the fire back on the government, accusing it of “arguing about “customs to violence”” to hide the “elephant in the room”.
“Androulakis talked about gang warfare”
Mrs. Mourelatou began her intervention by clarifying exactly what Nikos Androulakis stated:
“The day before yesterday, the president of PASOK gave an interview. Journalists asked him about the vendetta in Vorizia. He answered them yes don’t call it “feud” and “crime of honor”, because in this case we are dealing with “gang war” and “corruption”».
As the communications director pointed out, the president of PASOK clearly described a “zone of iniquity” and an “expression serious crime and serious delinquency”, which the New Democracy government is “monitoring idle».
The “elephant” of iniquity and the silence of the prime minister
Essentially responding to the criticism of Pleuris and Voridis, Mrs. Mourelatou asked herself: “What did the New Democracy ministers understand from this statement?”, implying that they are trying to hide the real problem, which is “the elephant in the room”.
According to her, the government ignores a series of “negative facts”:
The Prime Minister’s silence: He called the fact that the prime minister, on eight dayshas commented absolutely nothing about the “shocking events” in Crete.
The tolerance of gun ownership: He denounced as a “negative image” that the government “seems to caresses dangerous views on free gun ownership and bearing arms, as is done in the United States.”
The failure of policing: Mrs. Mourelatou criticized the government’s promise that “it will bring in spring the FBI on the island”, when, as he said, “for three years the sub-address of Mesara – i.e. a complete police structure”.
PASOK’s communications director closed her intervention with a jab at the government, saying: “Don’t lose sight of the elephant in the room, as dust and smoke even if they put it on you”.
