They take place today Saturday (03.05.2025), at 10:00 the exams for the introduction of pupils and pupils in Standard Schools and models of ecclesiastical schools.
More specifically, candidates for admission to the First Class of Gymnasium Model are evaluated in skills they have acquired during their attendance at elementary school, related to understanding Greek language texts and mathematics, in the context of a single test of 150 minutes. Understanding Greek language texts controls the abilities of students in understanding of written texts and content (literary texts, simple newspaper or magazine articles, multimodal texts, etc.) as well as the use of basic grammar and editorial phenomena. Mathematics control the abilities of students in understanding and solving problems of daily life but also problems with simple arithmetic actions.
Candidates for the introduction of the first grade of high school standard are evaluated in the knowledge and skills they have acquired during their Gymnasium attendance, related to the understanding of Greek language texts and mathematics in the context of a single test of 180 minutes.
In particular, the cognitive field of understanding Greek texts examines the abilities in understanding written texts of various genres and content (literary texts, articles from newspapers and magazines, letters, simple essays, multimodal texts, etc.). The math cognitive field examines the abilities of students in understanding and solving daily life as well as numerical, algebraic, geometric, statistical knowledge and skills.
Candidates for admission to Ecclesiastical Gymnasium standards are evaluated in knowledge and skills they acquired during their elementary school studies, related to understanding of Greek language texts, mathematics and in addition to religious, in the context of a single test of 225 minutes. Greek language and mathematics are examined in common with candidates for admission to Standard Schools. In particular, in terms of religious, students’ skills are controlled in recognizing basic elements of Orthodox Christian faith and ecclesiastical life and the subjects of the religious subject of the religious subject are accompanied by auxiliary materials, such as texts and exercises, which is utilized by the candidates.
Candidates for admission to Ecclesiastical Lyceum standards are evaluated in knowledge and skills they have acquired during their attendance at the Gymnasium related to the understanding of Greek language texts, mathematics and religious, in the context of a single four -hour test (4). Greek language and mathematics are examined in common with candidates for admission to Standard Schools. In the field of religious field, students’ abilities to recognize basic elements of Orthodox Christian faith and ecclesiastical life.
For the introduction to the standards, the set of questions are 40: 20 for mathematics and 20 for understanding the text of the Greek language.
For the introduction to the Ecclesiastical Schools, the total questions are 60: 20 for mathematics, 20 for understanding the text of the Greek language and 20 for religious.
All questions are multiple choice and all of the rating units are 100 for standards and 150 for Ecclesiastical School Standards.
