“You will drown the man, to get the wish”: A municipal police officer is being prosecuted for the murder of a alleged thief on Tuesday night to Wednesday near the Madridwhen he stabbed him on the ground by grabbing him by the throat.
The events were recorded in videos where people’s voices are heard asking him to leave him as he is in danger of “drowning” him.

The incident unfolded in Torechon de Ardoth, near the Spanish capital, when a Madrid municipal police officer pursued a man allegedly stolen his cellphone, a Spanish police spokesman said today.
In a video published in Spanish media, the police officer, who was out of service and politically dressed, has stalled the alleged thief in the ground by holding him by the throat. The victim remains stationary while passersby ask him to leave it.
“You will drown the man, get the wish, get your hand,” says one citizen, while another asks him to release him, as he “will not escape.”
Arriving at the scene, Spanish police found that the man was no longer breathing and called on the first aid service that they could not restore it.
Madrid’s emergency services “confirm the death of a 36 -year -old man from strangulation in Torehon de Ardoth”, despite “recovery efforts for 30 minutes”, said in a message on social media.
After being arrested and then taken before the investigator, the police officer was released by restrictive measures, a Madrid court announced, clarifying that his passport was confiscated and that he should be presented to justice every Monday.
He is confronted with the charge of “homicide by negligence”.
The first forensic report is expected to determine the exact cause of death, the court announcement also said.
The events caused the indignation of the left opposition in the region of Madrid, which is ruled by the Right.
