The definitive demolition of president her South KoreaYun Suk Yol, was decided and confirmed today (04.04.2025) with a unanimous verdict of the country’s constitutional court.
South Korean president, Yun Suk Yol, “violated” the country’s constitution, declaring a military law in December, ruled today by the Constitutional Court in his verdict confirming the definitive and irrevocable dismissal of his leader.
The former president, Yun, “was not limited to declaring military law, but committed actions that violated the Constitution and the Law, especially by mobilizing the Armed Forces and the Police to prevent parliament from exercising his powers,” the court said.
The court of eight judges ratified Yun’s referral, which ruled that the Declaration had violated the country’s constitution and did not follow the proper procedures for its dissemination.
With the court confirming the referral of Yoon Suk Year, Prime Minister Han Duck Soo will continue to carry out the debt of president until the swearing -in. According to the South Korean Constitution, the presidential election must be held within 60 days of the Supreme Court’s verdict.
Following the imposition of Yunn’s military law, legislators defied the exclusion of security forces to enter Parliament and voted in favor of rejection of movement. However, Yun reacted, saying that he never intended to fully enforce an extraordinary military law and claimed there were no injuries during the clash.
Months of demonstrations triggered by political chaos have overshadowed the country’s efforts to tackle economic growth amid US President Donald Trump’s rise and his decision to cause a “trade war” by imposing duties.
Yun became the first active president of South Korea to arrested on January 15th on charges of uprising, but was released after the court canceled his arrest warrant.
