South Africa: The moment when two children fall from an inflatable castle “flying” due to strong wind

A scary video making the internet tour, recorded the moment two children save a serious injury or even death, falling from one inflatable Castle drifting the strong winds in South Africa.

The horrible incident happened on Saturday (31.05.2025) during a raising money at a school in South Africa, when an unexpected wind of wind caused the seemingly unblocked inflatable flight. Eyewitnesses at the Laerskool Protearif elementary school in Krugersdorp screaming out terror as the colorful castle was rising high in the sky with children still in.

Shocked parents and teachers watched the inflatable rise, while there were children in it. The footage shows two of them not being able to be held and fell into force on the ground.

The parents caught up and formed a human protective layer to stop students’ fall, but despite their efforts, both children were seriously injured.

They were rushed to the hospital, where one child allegedly had a skull fracture and the other broke his hand. It is not known how much or if there were other children in the inflatable castle, which landed about 15 meters from the point where it was raised.

The raising event that was almost turned into a tragic disaster took place last Saturday on the school stadiums, attended by more than 1000 parents, students and friends.

The head of the school Dion Lourrence declined to comment, but a statement on the school’s website on Facebook confirmed that two students were rushed to the nearest emergency unit.

He revealed that one child, believed to have the broken hand, was released on the same day, and the other with a skull fracture, was discharged three days later.

“The necessary wound counseling was given to both children, as well as their classmates, who experienced the incident and thank you all for supporting your side,” he said.

And he added: “Thank you very much for the positive support, help and prayers of everyone.”
