Criminal prosecution started for the rail accident noted Monday morning (13.10.2025) at Slovakiafrom which dozens of people were injured.
The number of injured is almost 80, according to Slovaka police. The 2 train drivers are in critical condition. From the accident, there were no reports of the dead.
Rescue teams quickly unleashed passengers who had been trapped and provided first aid on the spot, while helicopters were seriously injured in nearby hospitals.
A business center spokesman, Petra Klimsova, said that 7 ground ambulances and three rescue helicopters and 2 buses rushed to the spot.
As the accident happened, the rail services were suspended and alternative bus routes were implemented to move citizens.

Police in the Kosice area, where the collision occurred, wrote on social media that the driver of one of the trains had undergone alcohol and a test for the presence of drugs and psychotropic substances, and the result was negative.
Due to the severity of his wounds, the second driver was transported by helicopter to the hospital, where biological material will be obtained to determine the presence of alcohol and drugs.
The president of the Costs’ self -governing region, Rastislav Trnka, also reacted to the conflict of two rapid train trains near Yablonov Nat Tournou on Monday. He pointed out that the accident, where dozens of people were injured, reveals deep problems with the Slovak railways.

The Operational Center of the Slovak Republic’s Emergency Medical Aid Service has informed Facebook that passengers are gradually landing from the trains, and the seriousness of the injuries has not yet been determined.
