Sinking the Greek -owned ship that was attacked with rockets in the Red Sea – no Greek sailors were aboard

Greek interests is the ship that was attacked southwest of Hondida in Yemen in south Red Sea On Sunday (06/07/2025) and is now sinking.

Specifically, according to the EUNAVFOR ASPIDES company, this is the Liberian flag of MV Magic Seas, Greek interests, owned by All Seas Marine.

The ship was attacked by the Houthi forces. Specifically, eight speedboats with armed men fired at least 20 RPG anti -tank rockets, as well as four unmanned surface vessels (USVs) to the ship 51 nautical miles southwest of Yemen’s Hondida port.

The ship’s security team managed to intercept two of the four USVs, while the other two hit the ship.

The ship was also attacked by three rockets with two of them hitting it.

After the attack the MV Magic Seas began to sink. The 22 crew members (17 Philippine nationals, 1 Romanian national, 1 Vietnam national and 3 nationals of Sri Lanka members of the Security Group) are rescued by Yemen’s Coast Guard forces.

It should be noted that the ship had not requested an accompaniment or protection by Eunavfor Aspides, and when the attack was attacked, no operation of the operation was close.

It is noted that this is the first attack on a merchant ship in the Red Sea since November 2024 by Houthi.
