Frustrated seems to be with the attitude of the State, the 56 -year -old policeman who complained that the doctors of the 424 Thessaloniki Military Hospital delayed him to give him a year of biopsy, resulting in Cancer to become metastatic.
Just yesterday (14.06.2025) became known A memorandum submitted by the State to the Athens Administrative Court of First Instance on the police officer who now has a 4th stage of cancer. The memorandum states that the 56 -year -old is responsible for “because he was delayed to seek the results of his biopsy”.
Elsewhere it is reported that if he did preventive tests such as colonoscopy, he would have appeared earlier that he had cancer and would not be in this condition now.
The police officer spoke on Mega’s “Developments Now” and commented on the public memorandum, which, as it appeared, saddened him. As he said, all that was enough for him was an “apology”.
“I did a surgery, I was diagnosed with appendicitis, it was removed and a year later I received a phone to go to inform me about the biopsy results. I was told that this was a malignant adencarne a year later. Asked to the doctor why the results were so late, The doctor told me they are usually late. Cancer reaps, does not play.
A serious, responsible and consistent state against the citizen would say an apology. You can’t, as a Greek State, be a campaign and say that colon cancer is 91% curable if a timely diagnosis has been made and on the other hand they tell me that one time it took for biopsy is reasonable.
Now The State says why I didn’t look for biopsy. When it took 20-30 days I thought the results were fine, it came out of my mind. He now asks for responsibilities because I didn’t do a colonoscopy. What can I say, really sad with what they said to a Man of cancer patients and his spouse of multiple sclerosis. We were learned in the few, but now we have arrived to owe, “he continued.
“The Greek State, instead of having the leventia and consistency and saying that its officials are to blame, says that I am to blame. He asks me to go through 2 experts, to collect a bucket of papers, it is time consuming, I will not be able to do it, my necropsy will come first. After what happened I did not go to this hospital again. I went to private. When you see a mess of excuses, you can’t continue. And so I went privately and the cost is very much, “the 56 -year -old concluded.
As he said, he will try to continue the legal proceedings to find his right, though time is against him.
