According to Voria.gr, the president of the Gri-Gri Kavala and Vice President of the Grim-Gri of Greece Union, Yiannis Manios, “in recent days Turkish fishing has reached even 4-6 miles from the coast of Samothrace. Tonight, a large number of Turkish vessels came out again for fishing and 20 of our boats went to protest. There our fishermen received insults, threats, and even shootings in the air. ” Reports indicate that there was tension between the two sides and for several minutes, around 22.00 on Tuesday night the situation was brutal. In order to have evidence, the Greek fishermen were filming the incident, and as they say, although they informed the authorities, no one rushed to the spot.
