Head injuries and scratches all over his body seems to be carried by the Dutchman tourist that fell from a high height in the Samaria Gorge.
According to new Cretapost information, The unfortunate tourist was found early by EMAK and Fire Brigade forces in the Samaria Gorge who started carrying him in a safe place.
The initial planning said that his transfer to Chania Hospital would be done by helicopter but the aerial means failed to reach the spot. Thus, the rescuers transported the Dutch tourist to Xylokastro where he is waiting for an EKAB ambulance for his hospital.
By 10pm (21/04/2025) the business was in full swing, and estimates say that the tourist will be taken to the hospital in the coming hours.
According to the same sources, the Dutch tourist was on the trail leading to Gigilo when he suddenly found himself in the vacuum, falling from a high altitude.
The unfortunate man found a group of Greeks crossing the trail and alerted 112 with authorities being immediately mobilized.
With the instructions from EKAB rescuers, the group of Greeks gave first aid to the unfortunate tourist.
At the same time, EMAK executives, the Fire Brigade and the Emmm was managed to reach the point and unleash it.
