The death of the 75-year-old woman in Salamis, which fell victim to rogues bandits inside her own house on Friday afternoon (31.10.2025).

The window of the 75-year-old’s house was broken, while the victim was hit on the head, probably by a bottle. In fact, she has been hit repeatedly in the same spot.
The police have launched a manhunt to identify the perpetrators of the crime.
The tragic scene with the dead woman was witnessed by the victim’s daughter who immediately notified the police. Security camera footage in the neighborhood shows people breaking a window and entering the elderly woman’s home.
Speaking to ERTnews, the vice-president of the Union of Police Officers, Nikos Rigas, expressed his belief that the perpetrators will be identified while stressing that it is shocking the way the 75-year-old woman was killed as she suffered multiple blows to the head.
The interior of the house was disturbed, a fact that brings the possibility of robbery closer and closer.
A team from the Homicide Department is also expected to arrive at the house, in order to collect evidence in order to identify the perpetrators.
The police investigations are in full progress, while the results of the autopsy are awaited.
