The conversations between Russia and USA Moscow says about tensions between the two superpowers, with the responsibility of Washington.
Specifically, the next round of Russian -American talks on lifting “stimuli” in relations between the two countries was canceled at the US initiative, the Foreign Ministry announced today in Russia today.
“The next meeting (…) was canceled at the initiative of US negotiators,” Russian diplomat spokesman Maria Zaharova said in a brief statement.
“We hope that this pause will not be too great,” she added, without giving further details on the possible reasons for this postponement.
According to Moscow’s terminology, the work of diplomatic missions is one of the “stimuli” in relations between Russia and the United States, which recently carried out two rounds of negotiations in Turkey on this issue.
Last week, Russian ambassador to the United States, Alexander Dartsiev, assured that a new round of bilateral consultations would be “soon” in Moscow, but Washington did not comment immediately.
“There are many obstacles to bilateral relations and it is unlikely to expect results quickly,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday, while stressing that this “difficult task will continue”.
In addition to the thorny issue of Ukraine, Russians and Americans want to discuss more global issues such as their economic relations, security architecture in Europe and control of equipment.
