Russia: Moscow tests new nuclear cruise missile – ‘There is no analogue in the world’, says Putin

With Russia’s attacks against Ukraine at its peak, Vladimir Putin appears to have no intention of stopping these actions after it was announced today, Sunday (25/10/2025), the successful completion of tests of the new Burevestnik nuclear-capable cruise missile.

The missile traveled a distance of 14,000 kilometers and was in the air for about 15 hours, General Valery Gerasimov, chief of the general staff of Russia’s national defense, told Putin.

Putin has stated that the 9M730 Burevestnik (“Sea Walker”) it is “invisible” to current and future systems anti-missile defense, with almost unlimited range and unpredictable flight path. “There is no analogue in the world” he triumphed.

In remarks today, dressed in camouflage, the Russian president told Gerasimov that critical tests of the Burevestnik had been completed and that thea start work on the final stage before the development of rockets.

He even visited one of the command offices of the joint force group and held a meeting with Gerasimov and commanders, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said. The president received detailed update on the situation at the front.
