A few hours before the summit meeting in Alaska on Friday (15.08.2025) between Donald Trump and his Vladimir PutinKremlin spokeswoman Dmitry Peskov said that a subsequent trilateral meeting for Ukraine is not excluded if talks between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump lead to specific results.
According to the Russian News Agency Interfax, Peskov said that today’s agenda is particularly demanding and Vladimir Putin’s discussions with Donald Trump may take “at least six to seven hours” in total, including his own.
As he pointed out, the talks are expected to be attended by close associates of the two leaders, while Russian state media points out that the program provides for successive meetings in different shapes, before the two sides appear together before the journalists.
