Rome: Anti-bullfighting activist tried to reach Pope Francis

An anti-bullfighting activist tried to approach the spot where his vehicle was Pope Francis in Piazza di Spagna in its center of Rome.

The Spanish activist, who demonstrated on Sunday afternoon (08.12.2024) against bullfighting, in Rome’s Piazza di Spagna square, tried to approach the car of Pope Francis.

The pontiff was in the square to lay flowers on the statue of the Virgin on the occasion of the Catholic feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin.

Police and the pontiff’s guard prevented the woman from approaching and the motorcade continued on its way as normal.
