“The government is coming to cover the average difference from the increase in the price for businesses in the months of December 2024, January and February 2025, in those months that was observed,” Stavros Papastavrou said.
Referring to electricity subsidies announced yesterday (25.4.2025) by the Ministry of Environment and Energy (RIS), Mr Papastavrou stressed that it is an important government’s initiative to support these businesses, which he said, are the backbone of the Greek economy.
As the Minister said, business applications will be made via an electronic platform that will open by HEDNO in the first 10 days of May, with the aim of being credited by the end of June. He also stressed that for high energy consumption businesses, such as bakeries, pastry shops and cleaning, the subsidy will be twice as much and will be applied to 100% of consumption.
Mr. Papastavrou made a special reference to her issue water scarcity and water management. Answering a question, he stressed that this is a pan -European phenomenon and requires the cultivation of a culture of rational use, which he said would be a campaign. “The waste of water made by all of us must stop.
