Extension of the deadline for completing projects for programs Photovoltaic In the roof and photovoltaic in the field and for the program of storage systems, the Ministry of Environment and Energy (30.6.2025) announced (30.6.2025) (30.6.2025)RIS).
The new date of completion of the interventions for the two RIS photovoltaic programs is December 31, 2025, while for the Business Storage Systems program on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
Extension for photovoltaics programs on the roof and photovoltaic in the field
The purpose of the extension is to give a sufficient time to both households and farmers approved by programs for the implementation, activation and subsidies of their projects, so that the production of photovoltaic stations can be able to cover their part or even all their consumption and reduce their energy costs.
It is noted that:
Completion of the physical object means the construction and activation of photovoltaic stations with/or without storage system. In any case, for the beneficiaries, the time limit for the implementation of the station and the commitment of the electrical space is set out in the connection contract concluded by the beneficiaries with the Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator (DEDDIE).
However, this time limit for implementation may in no way exceed the deadline for completion of the physical object, as it will now be extended, to be able to grant the approved subsidy to the beneficiaries.
It is recalled that:
- The programs with a total budget of 238m euros are aimed at subsidizing households and, above all, our vulnerable fellow citizens, as well as farmers who are registered in the register of farmers and farmers, to install photovoltaic stations with/or without battery for self -consumption.
- The photovoltaic program on the roof has already disbursed more than € 120m to the beneficiaries, of which more than € 30m have been given to vulnerable households.
- More than 3,000 farmers with a total budget of € 30 million have been approved in the photovoltaic program in the field.

The above programs are implemented in the context of the National Plan of Recovery and Resilience “Greece 2.0”, with the funding of the European Union – Nextgeneration EU. DEDDIE is the management and implementation body.
Extension to Storage Systems in Business
The purpose of the extension is to enable more businesses to participate in the program, utilize available resources and install a storage system in their photovoltaic station so that they can cover even a larger part of their consumption and further reduce their energy costs.
The additional three months to the new deadline will facilitate candidate beneficiaries for the collection, as well as the proper and complete presentation of the required supporting documents provided for the application to the program guide.
It is recalled that:
- The program, totaling € 153.7 million, subsidies companies, regardless of size and industry, for the installation of storage systems (batteries). The very small and small businesses will be distributed 100,000,000 euros and in the middle and large companies 53,740,000 euros.
- The subsidy of storage systems (battery) relates to installation – addition to either photovoltaic systems that are in the design – development – construction phase, or in existing, active photovoltaic systems. In both cases the storage system is only subsidized.
- The intensity of the aid amounts to 50% for small businesses, 40% for medium -sized enterprises and 30% for large businesses, while the total amount of the aid received each beneficiary is calculated at a single business level and may not exceed 400,000 euros per beneficiary for the primary costs.
- Applications are subject to the FIFO (First In – First Out) basis and will be included until the budget available.
Applications are deposited through Electronic Platform of the Program. Interested parties can call 213 151 3740 (daily, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm).
The above program is being implemented in the context of the National Hellenic Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0” with the funding of the European Union – NextGeneration EU. Program Management and Control Body is the Strategic Contracting Unit/Hellenic Holding and Property Society SA. (ESSYP).
