Rhodes: “He’s extubated and out of the ICU,” says the 13-year-old’s school principal


Good news for the 13-year-old student who was intubated in the ICU of a pediatric hospital in Attica, after falling and hitting his head during a TikTok challenge to Rose.

The minor, according to the director of the school, Thomas Soldato, speaking about the incident with the TikTok challenge in Rhodes, he was extubated and is in good health.

The 13-year-old student suffered a serious head injury on Friday morning (06.12.2024) while trying the ‘Superman Challenge’ which has gone viral on TikTok.

“He’s fine, he’s extubated, he’s talking, he’s in great health. He is coming out of the intensive care unit,” said the manager speaking on Monday morning (09.12.2024) on the “Buongiorno” show.

“That happened in the first break, suddenly in seconds. They came, they told me, the child was brought in, luckily the trainer was there who is a specialist in first aid. His nose was running a little and he was speaking normally. He told me they were playing a game, I told him I will punish all of them, he told me not to punish them,” he said.

“We called the ambulance because he hit his head, he had two carumbalas,” he concludes.
