Putin noted that the range of the Burevestnik “surpassed all known missile systems in the world” and has high targeting accuracy.

“I think foreign experts were also able to verify this, as a NATO reconnaissance ship was constantly present in the area during the tests on October 21. We did not interfere in his business. Let them see it,” said the Russian President.

He also said that the makers of the Burevestnik and Poseidon missiles have created a “veritable treasure trove of new materials” and that all technologies, components and materials used in these weapons are exclusively Russian-made.

The development of these two missile systems “has historical significance for Russia throughout the 21st century,” he added.

On October 26, Russia test-fired its new nuclear-powered cruise missile capable of carrying a nuclear warhead, the Burevestnik, which, according to the Russian military, traveled a distance of 14,000 kilometers and was in the air for about 15 hours.

On October 29, Putin announced that the Poseidon nuclear-powered autonomous torpedo, which can also carry nuclear warheads, had been tested.
