Respiratory compensation in children is increased from 170 to 300 euros

Is increasing according to a decision by the Minister of Health, Adoni Georgiadisthe compensation for respirators in childrenas it will now amount to 170 euros to 300.

Prior to the intervention of Adonis Georgiadis, parents of children – patients denounced EOPYY for the unbearable financial burden they have to raise to breathe their children, as non -mechanical respiratory support, they cannot operate autonomously.

This problem emerged with a moving report in the Alpha Central Newsletter on the night of Thursday, June 19th. Parents call on the state to intervene as they rent respirators from companies through EOPYY for 175 euros a month.

“Protesting parents are right to protest. I immediately ordered the EOPYY administration and the next Board of Directors of the Organization will change the price of compensation of these special devices for children from € 170 to € 300 so that their families are not burdened, “Adonis Georgiadis said in his post on X (former twitter).

According to him, he contacted EOPYY’s Administrator Theano Karpodini last night and agreed to increase the agency’s compensation.

“Many parents across the country who have children with respiratory problem are forced to rent respirators by paying more than 170 euros a month. Indeed, if it stops working with EOPYY and the last company left over for parents will reach 300 euros, “said yesterday’s report on APLHA.

“Bonnched and serious criticism makes us better,” the health minister concludes.
