THE Turkey exerts pressure on Germany with regard to the refugee as the Recep Tayyip Erdogan bets on the German elections and the millions of Turkish voters living and voting in the country.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in a telephone conversation with his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier, clarified that Turkey is not in a position to manage the flow of refugees from Afghanistan and warned that no one would want to experience the situation again in 2015.
According to a report by Manolis Kostidis on SKAI, Erdogan sent a clear message that Turkey does not intend to keep refugees in its territory.
Also among the demands made by the Turkish president were the full implementation of the refugee agreement, the updating of the customs union with the EU, the visa liberalization for Turkish citizens and the start of accession negotiations.
At the same time, Defense Minister Hulusi Akar called for the lifting of the embargo on weapons systems imposed by Germany on Turkey.
