THE Raphael Pagonis who is number 1 in the world ranking managed to prevail in his Master Monte Carloagainst Slovakian Max Lorinczyk (No.6) with 2-1 sets.
The Slovak took the lead in the sets 6-4, but Raphael Pagonis showed his character and quality in Monte Carlo and turned the score around, initially leveling at 1-1 6-4 in the second set and winning the third set more easily 6-3.
Pagonis won eight titles this season, in fact winning the last three Super Category tournaments (Maya, Milan, Barcelona). In addition, he won the European Championship in Most and was a finalist at Wimbledon.
From the next season, Raphael Pagonis will change his category and compete in the U16, where the competition and the level of tennis will rise, but he has already proven at such a young age that he is capable of a great career.
