The main points of a possible truce agreement in Ukraine, which seems to have been handed over by Donald Trump in Vladimir Putinreveals the Polish news website OneT citing sources of information that are aware of the subject.
In particular, US special envoy Steve Witkov seems to have given Vladimir Putin during yesterday’s (06.08.2025) meeting in Kremlin, a proposal by Donald Trump to achieve a ceasefire in Ukraine.
Such as appreciates Oneetif Putin rejects this proposal, then even the most friendly politicians in Moscow should lose any illusion they maintain about the possibility of a compromise agreement.
Always at Oneet, US sentences include:
- Truce in Ukraine, not permanent peace,
- De Facto recognition of Russian territorial profits (postponing this issue for 49 or 99 years),
- withdrawal of most sanctions imposed on Russia and
- In the long run, return to energy cooperation, namely imports of Russian gas and oil in the Western countries, including the European Union.
At the same time, the plan does not guarantee that NATO will not expand, which the Russians require. Moscow has also not received any promise that military support for Ukraine will be terminated. However, the last point is supposed to be accepted by the Russians.
What is not clear is whether Russia will accept this offer. According to Oneet’s information, just a few days ago the chances of it seemed to be greater than today.
Paradoxically, this was also evidenced by the growing tension between Washington and Moscow, including mutual nuclear threats.
If the deal is reached, Trump will make very important concessions to Russia and Putin will agree to stop the war without achieving his declared goals, the Polish news site added.
