The official said all the parties involved have already begun working on the details of the meeting and noted that the already agreed meeting site would be announced later.

Usakov said the US Special Envoy, Steve Whitkovset the possibility of a tripartite meeting between Putin, Trump and Volodimir Zelenski, during talks with Putin on Wednesday. He avoided commenting this proposal.

“Following the US side’s proposal, an agreement was reached in principle to hold a bilateral summit in the coming days, namely a meeting between President Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump,” Usakov said.

Although there are reports that the Putin and Trump meeting can take place even next week, Usakov stressed that it is difficult so far to estimate how many days it will take to prepare the meeting.
