Two positive adjustments to wages of civil servants They will run during the current month.

1. The horizontal increase in all civil servants
Specifically, the relevant decision of the Deputy Minister of Finance Thanos Petralia states that:
- “The basic salaries of public sector staff salaries, as they were formed (…) are increased by 1.4.2025 by thirty (30) euros. The increase is constant and is added to the basic salaries of each staff category, without affecting how they are shaped under the provisions applicable, that is, without taking into account that incrementalization in the conduct of any provisions mentioned in the reporting provisions.
- “This surcharge is not offset by any personal difference.”
- The amount of the (general) maximum remuneration of the Secretary General of the Ministry is EUR 5,151.
- The amount of the maximum remuneration of judicial officers and the principal staff of the NSK) is EUR 8,782.
- The amount of the NHS’s maximum remuneration of doctors is € 6,842.
- The amount of the salaries of the Armed Forces and Security Forces is EUR 5,645. From 1.7.2025 the above remuneration ceiling is EUR 5,745.
- The amount of the remuneration ceiling of the members of the Board of Directors of HEIs It is stood at five thousand three hundred and eighteen euros and 5,318.63 euros.

2. The targeted increase in those civil servants who have a personal difference
The second adjustment to the State will only concern those who have a personal difference, According to a provision submitted by the Finance Ministry on April 1, 2025 in the House.
Specifically, the provision provides that the personal difference of civil servants is offset by any increase in the basic salary.
The amount of the personal difference being offset, according to the new provision, is equal to the least between 50% of the caused increase in the basic salary and the amount of personal difference exceeding EUR 300.
If the personal difference does not exceed EUR 300, it does not set off with the increase in the basic salary (and therefore paid)
The entry into force of the above arrangements shall refer to June 1, 2024, any amounts of personal dispute set off from the above date until the publication of the bill being passed, in excess of the aforementioned, shall be rehabilitated and paid retroactively to the beneficiaries.
