Public: All Plan of Changes in the selection of 20,000 bosses from 2026 – The crucial role of skill tests

Radical changes to the selection regime boss to Public The Ministry of the Interior is planning by the end of this year to be implemented in 2026.

According to secure information from Newsit.gr, the new selection regime of nearly 20,000 “all kinds”, namely deputies, directors and general managers across the State, will have three key axes.

The first axis will be the service, that is, how many years an employee works in public administration.

The second axis will be the formal qualifications, namely diplomas, postgraduate, foreign language diplomas, etc. which an employee has.

The third – completely new – axis is the skills of each candidate for which all candidates will compete according to the position they must fill. That is, the candidates will be examined through special tests on whether and whether they know the subject of the position they request to understand and respond to formal qualifications, whose supporting documents are “submitting” in order to be selected as bosses.

What the Ministry of the Interior has not come to an end is what will be the gravity of each of the above axes for the selection of bosses, that is, which of them will play the leading role, who the secondary and who the triodes.

The possibility remains open whether there will be a fourth axis in the selection of superiors in the State, and in particular, an interview, as a time -consuming process is considered, and there are always fears of its unmistakable.

However, the same sources tell Newsit.gr that it should not be excluded only an interview with the selection of the head of the Directorates.

The relevant bill -which is being “run” by the Deputy Minister of Interior on Public Administration, Vivi Charalambogiannis -is almost ready, is expected to be discussed at the September Council of Ministers and shortly after being put into public consultation so that it can be voted on.
